As a new and different feature, we are looking to give you, our committed and informed subscribers, an in-depth analysis of the individual and team pictures in each class. We want to share some of our thinking with you, and get some feedback, so that you can get a better picture of the way the races are coming together at this point in the season. Hopefully, you will find the information interesting and even get a peek inside the working minds of Grooms and myself.

You want it? We got it! It's a full weekend recap with summaries of each events' results and breakdown of the happenings at the Greater Louisville Classic as well. With new rankings coming this week, where does your team stand?
Plenty of action throughout this week and Danielle Hoop of Owen County (shown here along with Collegeiate's Sarah Bode and Collins' Caterina Karas) was one of a few athletes who posted a solid season's best performance this weekend. Here is the list of meets that took place as we look to roll out new rankings this week.
October starts with a bang in Ohio this weekend as the 5th running of the Midwest Meet of Champions takes place in Hilliard, Ohio. Zach Wills (Mason, OH) will look to make this a three-peat on the boys' side, while Emma Brink (Sacred Heart, KY) and Waverly Neer (Culver Academies, IN) headline the girls' race.
On a hot and dry day in Kentucky, Chris Walden (Carmel, IN) and Emma Brink (Sacred Heart, KY) took the individual titles at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in some blazing times. Walden's 14:57 is an improvement upon his showing last weekend against Zach Wills in Ohio, while Brink is a repeat winner after a close win last year. Here's a look at the races from today. Another edition of the Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational is upon and there is plenty of anticipation this time around. Carmel (IN) will make the trip south to see if they can steal the show at another big invite, while some of Kentucky's finest will look to make their name against some national-level talent. Full preview, forecast, and virtual meet breakdown are inside.
Wondering about the highlights from this past weekend? We've got them all right here as Jonathan and I break down the events of an ACT weekend. Plenty of teams were missing athletes, but plenty of teams wasted no time in making a statement on another nice weekend for racing.
It was all Maddox Patterson on the girls' side today in the varsity race, but everything else was not quite what was expected coming in, making the outlook of the season just a little more intriguing as we see more of what the different classes have to show. Have a look at what was seen in the land of Goshen and what was learned after it was all said and done.
Say what you want about state championships, but there are only two kinds of people when it comes to that discussion: those with state championships and those without them. Right now, Trevin Peterson of Walton Verona (pictured) has an XC state title and this weekend will be his first major challenge of the year at the Rumble Through the Jungle.
Here's the first weekend recap of the year, chucked full of info from the different meets around the state as they affect the picture of the Class races in the state this year. (Photo by Lisa Johnson)
Plenty of action at the River Road Country Club yesterday for the St. Xavier Tiger Run. With many teams competing for the first time this season, there was plenty to learn and uncover inside the results. A full analysis lies inside. (Photo by Dan Andrews)
Here's the final preview for the fall season. Plenty of changes with the moving on of boys' state champion Ryan Eaton (Greenwood), being the most notable. Lots to consider inside.
Another year, another title for South Oldham? It sure looks like it, but we will tell you who looks like they might be contenders this year in Class AA as well inside our preview.
Trevin Peterson (Walton-Verona) was a runaway winner in the 2009 Boys Class A State XC Championships, but some believe he isn't even the favorite anymore. We discuss this and much more inside out preview.
Here's some stats to crunch while we get closer. This is a list of the best performances by any male athlete who broke 20 minutes at the Kentucky Horse Park. Teams Scores coming soon....
Fort Campbell boys and Newport Central Catholic girls take the titles on the last event, but Courtney Edwards of Fort Knox made sure to end his events early on as he took home four more individual titles. A summary of the days' events are inside.
This photo takes us back, but so did the victory by Kelsey McCain of Pendleton County in the 1600 meters. There were plenty of surprises on the day, but the team champions weren't among that group as Central's boys and Highlands' ladies get it done.
Can Kaitlin Snapp take the 1600 and 3200 meter titles that she wasn't able to compete for last year? We discuss her opponents and much more in our Class A meet preview.
Can South Oldham's ladies pull the XC/Track Double this spring? That's just one of the questions asked and answered in our Class AA preview.
The Unofficial "In" List for the Class AA Kentucky State Track Meet.
