Bowling Green, Ky. – After being named ESPN The Magazine third-team Academic All-America in 2007, Western Kentucky University track and cross country athlete Mike Duncan has been been named first-team for 2008, it was announced Monday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

yet another Sun Belt Conference championship in October, longtime head cross country and track and field coach Dr. Curtiss Long has announced his decision to retire effective at the end of the year it was announced Friday at a press conference at E.A. Diddle Arena.
Bowling Green, Ky. — The Western Kentucky University women's cross country team successfully defended their home course Saturday, as they captured the 13th Sun Belt Conference Cross Country title in school history at Kereiakes Park. This year's title marked the second in a row for the Lady Toppers, and the sixth straight for the women's
program, as they have won every Sun Belt meet since the 2006 indoor
track and field championships.

For the first time in Western Kentucky University history, the Lady Topper track and field team won the Sun Belt Conference indoor championship this weekend at the Murphy Center on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University. In leading the WKU women to their first-ever conference track title, head coach Dr. Curtiss Long was honored as the Coach of the Year, his 26th such award in 26 years on the Hill.
The Western Kentucky University track and field teams are set to compete in the Sun Belt Conference indoor track and field championships, set for February 25-26 at the Murphy Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
