The Power Poll will be published weekly on Tuesday, showing the Top 16 schools in Kentucky regardless of Classification.

Instead of the typical one male and female high school awardee each week, KYtrackXC.com is going to expand the awards to a Sprinter, Distance, and Field Event Athlete of the Week for each gender for the rest of the Outdoor Season.

KYtrackXC.com is going to have a Free Access Weekend starting right now till Sunday afternoon.

Danielle Hoop (Owen County) and Kaitlin Snapp (Danville) are just two of many athletes opening up their season this weekend with hopes of it ending on the podium in Louisville. Here's a preview of four meets this weekend that should really open up the season just in time for many of the schools in the state to head out for spring break.

Today Nike opened registration and announced details for the Nike Track Nationals competition, the first ever national championship competition to name the best high school track and field program in the United States.

The first big night of action was last night across the state of Kentucky. Several meets were held and quite a few early elite performances were achieved.

KY Teams in Action this Weekend

KYtrackXC.com released a 2010 Watch List for the overall KYtrackXC.com Athlete of the Year in January based on the 2009 season. With the 2010 Indoor Season past, the list have been updated to include at least 10 athletes in each group.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's track and field team has signed Green County High School state-champion Raegan Deaton to an NAIA scholarship, the school announced on Wednesday.

KYtrackXC.com is pleased to present the 5th Annual Indoor Track and Field Awards. The awards are in 3 categories regardless of the school classification. The categories are Sprinter, Distance, and Field Event Athletes of the Year.

2009 Class AA State Triple Jump Champion Thomas Washington of Logan County is out for the 2010 outdoor season. He injured his knee in practice and is scheduled for surgery. He will rehab in preparation for his freshmen year at Western Kentucky University where he had recently signed. His specialty is the jumps but he would have also been a contender in the 400m Dash this year.
