2012 Eastern Relays saw Butler's Tretez Kinnaird run the first sub 1:50 800 in state history when he crossed the line to win in 1:49.97. Tretez was a world youth qualifier while still a high schooler and still holds the KHSAA State Record with a 1:49.96.
