The Class A State Meet Watch List

The Louisville Track Club will hold a Team / Parent informational meeting on Monday May 21 at 6pm, at the Fern Creek Track Stadium.  The meeting is open to anyone that is interested in joining the Louisville Track Club this summer for training and or competition purposes.  Louisville Track Club participates in both AAU and USATF summer events.  It is a non-profit organization and is FREE of cost to all athletes to join.  More information will be discussed at the meeting.  For registration information please visit www.louisvilletrackclub.org

The 3rd Annual Dream Mile will be held Friday night at St. Xavier High School in Louisville.  This still young event has quickly grown into the best mile/1600m race in the state annually with much speculation over who will have the times to be invited to the race.  There will be one race for the boys and girls tonight with the ladies leading off at 8 PM.

These rankings were calculated by scoring the rankings as a meet.We took the individual rankings and relay rankings and scored them as a normal meet: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.  These are based on a world with no school classifications.

First Performance List for the Eastern Relays being held this Friday and Saturday at the University of Louisville.

KYtrackXC.com is pleased to present the first set KYtrackXC.com Middle School Boys Power 20.  The rankings below are based on individual events ranked from both high school and middle school meets in Kentucky except the hurdles, throws, and relays.  Those events are scored only on middle school meets as the hurdles are different heights and length between the two levels, throw implements are different weights, and the relays have to be composed of all four middle school runners which is only possible to vertify at a middle school meet.  

    KYtrackXC.com is proud to bring you the 2012 Projected Last Time In for the Kentucky State Track Meet.  With the current qualifying set as the top two from each region and then the 10 next best times from throughout the seven regions, that last time is very important.  Last year there were athletes who missed making it to state by .01 of a second.  So the question is where will that cut-off line be?   Example from last year   Class A 110m Hurdles  Projection 17.50 Actual Last Spot 17.58

  The following is the most complete, though still sadly lacking, preview of the much anticipated, 1st annual “Old Man Mile” to be held at St. X on April 17th. It turns out many old guys conveniently have previous “commitments” or “injuries” that have limited the field of this competitive race. (names such as David Flaugher, Glenn McCaslin, Chi Swain, Craig Riedling, among others come to mind…) However, we still expect a strong field with a combined age of about 500 years. Below are the bios for the few competitors we could reach before the event kicks off.

Bell County High School Cross-Country and track team stand-out James Brown, signed with the University of Kentucky cross country/track team Thursday. Brown has been a member of the varsity Cross-Country and Track teams at Bell County High School for seven years. In CrossCountry, he placed third in the state AA Championship meet in November 2011, and was named to the Kentucky Track and Cross-Country Coaches Association Super Team. My trip started on Thursday night at 7pm when my flight left. My mom and I made the trip together. We had flown to Dallas with no problems, grabbed a huge Jack Daniels burger at TGI Fridays, and started to relax.
