I have been and ran in a lot of cross country meets in my life, but this past Saturday takes the cake as far as hot goes. It was nearly unbearable at 9am when the Varsity Boys Race started in Madisonville on Saturday. The same held true across the state as individual races were cancelled at Madisonville, Shelby County, and the Ryle Invitational’s.
Last week I meant to mention a couple performances
- Sye Head (Logan County) is the top KY runner at the KY-IN Border Clash
- Nicholas Waltman (Sayre) is going to make Jacob Thomson work a little harder than first expected in November

The first full week of cross country is in the bag for the state of Kentucky and it was a pretty solid start.
