The first full week of cross country is in the bag for the state of Kentucky and it was a pretty solid start.
Below are 16 observations from the week:
- AAA Boys #1 St. Xavier returned a ton of depth from last year and their win was not shocking, but their domination was. They put eight in the top 34 at Tiger Run (4 juniors, 2 sophomores, 2 seniors)
- Daviess County’s Brad Sikes did not finish #1 for the team at the KY-IN Border Clash instead he was their 5th man, but it did not matter as Daviess County put six under the 17:24 mark to win
- AAA Girls #1 Assumption did not run any of their top returning five runners?????
- Caterina Karas has some new competition in Class AA, wait this new girl has the same last name. It is her sister, 7th grader Gabriella Karas who tore up the Middle School races she ran last year
