KYtrackXC.com is pleased to present the All-KYtrackXC Teams, highlighting the top seven runners in the state of Kentucky for the fall of 2012.
Thomson's senior season at Holy Cross this fall has helped to cement him as one of the all-time great runners in Kentucky history with wins against all of Kentucky and some of the best in the nation. He won the Trinity Invitational at Tom Sawyer Park running a meet record time of 14:52. He went on to finish second overall at the Great American Cross Country Festival in North Carolina with a 14:43. He cruised through the Class A Kentucky State Cross Country Championship with an overall state record time of 15:21.40. All of this in the middle of flying around the country visiting several of the best running schools in the nation this fall. The journey continues this weekend as he goes after the win at Foot Locker South.

If you were lucky enough to attend the Class AA Girls State Cross Country Championship last week you were given quite a show. Karas, just an 8th ran a race like a veteran with years of experience. She crushed the competition winning by 90 seconds setting the Kentucky State Record. That needs an asterisk beside it, because she set all the records. No girl had ever run that fast at state, regardless of which Horse Park course it was on. She was the first to go under 18 in Kentucky State Meet 5K History and she did it in big style with a 17:44. She raced on a very limited schedule this fall only competing four times in the regular season finishing with 3 victories.
