KY Boys Cross Country Performer of the Week (Aug. 24-30)

After another week of cross country racing in Kentucky, it's time to vote for the MileSplit Kentucky boys cross country performer of the week.

This Week's Nominees:

Thomas Davis, Union County (Kentucky): At Madisonville Classic 2026, a 16:06.20 clocking in the 5K led every finisher at the Madisonville Classic, where the field numbered 75 runners and the winning margin stretched to 40.0 seconds. That time now ranks second among 419 athletes logged in MileSplit's database at Madisonville North Hopkins High School since 2019. It also represents massive improvement on this course, dropping from a previous 19:36.97 to 16:06.20 for a gain of 210.8 seconds.

Jasper Pace, Pulaski County (Kentucky): The 5K time of 17:11.10 was good for the win among 53 finishers at the McCreary Central All Comers meet, with 50.7 seconds to spare over the runner-up. The mark now ranks second among 222 athletes in MileSplit's database at McCreary County Park since 2019.

Ayden Harris, North Laurel (Kentucky): Covering the 5K in 16:54.84 at the Tiger's Den Invitational was enough to take first place and clear a 22-runner field by 33.0 seconds. The time stands as the fastest in MileSplit's database at Clay County since 2024, a span covering 53 athletes.

Chase Simpson, Harrison County (Kentucky): First place among 65 finishers came behind an 18:21.80 showing in the 5K at the Jaguars Classic, with a winning margin of 91.5 seconds separating the top spot from the rest of the field. The mark places No. 221 of 925 athletes in MileSplit's database at Idlewild Park since 2019.

Thomas Cline, Central Hardin (Kentucky): Among 201 finishers at the Hermitage Farm XC Classic by Locust Grove, a 5K time of 15:59.00 was enough for first place, winning by 13.0 seconds. The margin came in one of the week's largest fields.
