This Week's Nominees:
Linden Pickler, Fort Campbell (Kentucky): At Madisonville Classic 2026, a winning time of 19:25.91 over 5K at the Madisonville Classic put 40 seconds between first and second place in a 66-runner field. The mark stands as the No. 2 performance in MileSplit's database at this course since 2019.
Chloe Mastin, South Laurel (Kentucky): Covering 5K in 20:52.71 was good for the win at the McCreary Central All Comers meet, ahead of 39 finishers by 41.4 seconds. The time also improved on a prior mark of 21:30.08 on this course, a gain of 37.4 seconds, and ranks No. 4 of 158 athletes in MileSplit's database at McCreary County Park since 2019.
Jada Short, North Laurel (Kentucky): A 5K time of 22:27.62 at the Tiger's Den Invitational earned first place among 23 finishers, with a winning margin of 26.9 seconds. The performance sits at No. 2 of 40 athletes in MileSplit's database at Clay County since 2024.
Celia Maudlin, Dupont Manual (Kentucky): In a field of 230 finishers at the Crawford County Kickoff Invitational, an 18:51.40 clocking over 5K placed second overall. The time ranks No. 6 of 473 athletes in MileSplit's database at Crawford County High School since 2019.
Sophia Anderson, Henry Clay (Kentucky): First place at the Hermitage Farm XC Classic by Locust Grove came down to 5.0 seconds, with a 5K time of 19:03.00 leading a 142-runner field across the line.
