Movers and Shakers

This past weekend was strange, there were a ton of meets but nothing was really huge.  There were some quality match-ups but even that was hard to decipher as many schools were missing runners.  Fall break is part of it, minor injuries, and just simply being tired from all the racing over the last seven weeks.

Here are some of the things that stuck out to me from this past week.

-- The team that stuck out the most this week was the Daviess County boys.  They rolled in the Owensboro City-County Meet with 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 7th.  This is an accomplishment because outside of the state meet this is the meet that the Owensboro schools all get hyped most for.

-- It must be nice to be loaded in the front as the Daviess girls are at 1-3.  Whitney O'Bryan and Claire Payne continued their trading off of beating each other this year with Payne winning the Owensboro City-County Championship.  Nice send off for the senior!
