High School Boys - James Brown (Bell County)
Brown, senior at Bell County won the Berea Invitational Saturday with a 16:26 to win by 30 seconds. The #1 ranked runner in Class AA was coming off a best time of 15:40 at the Trinity Invitational last week. This was his second victory of the season.
High School Girls - Whitney O’Bryan (Daviess County)
O’Bryan, sophomore at Daviess County won the Franklin County Invitational on Saturday with a 19:01.34. Going into the race, Whitney was ranked #2 in Class AAA and in winning she defeated #1 ranked Cassidy Hale (duPont Manual) by .60 of a second. This is her fourth victory of the season.
Middle School Boys – Trenton Fryman (North Oldham)
Fryman, an 8th grader at North Oldham Middle School won the 3000 Meter Run with a time of 10:11.50. He won the race of 209 boys by seven seconds. This is his fourth victory of the season.
Middle School Girls – Megan Buechler (Holy Spirit)
Buechler, an 8th grader at Holy Spirit won the 2000 Meter Run at the St. Agnes “Aggie” Stampede on Sunday with a time of 7:02.20. This was her first victory of the season.
