High School Boys Runner of the Week
Jimmy Goldson (Pulaski County)
Goldson, a sophomore won the Southern Harrier Classic in record breaking fashion this past Saturday. His winning time of 16:40.56 broke the previous mark of 16:42 set by Sabastian Rhode in 2007.
High School Girls Runner of the Week
Assumption’s Top Four
Katherine Receveur, Emily Bean, Bailey Davis, and Caroline McCaslin did what is thought to be a first in Kentucky as all four ladies ran in the 18s in one race. They placed 5th 18:43, 6th 18:44, 7th 18:45, and 14th 18:58 to help lead the charge for Assumption at the loaded Valkyrie Invitational.
Middle School Boys Runner of the Week
Mazden Tyler (Burns Middle School)
Tyler, an 8th grader at Burns Middle School won the Middle School Boys Race on Saturday at the St. Mary Invitational. He ran a 4000 Meter new personal best time of 15:02 to win by 19 seconds. His time is a 3:36 improvement from last year at the same meet.
Middle School Girls Runner of the Week
Gabriella Karas (Martha Layne Collins)
Karas, a 7th grader running for Martha Layne Collins rolled at the Valkyrie Invitational on Friday night winning by 27 seconds. Her time for the 3000 Meter Run was a 10:39.
