High School Boys
Luke Weishaar (Oldham County)
Weishaar, a senior won the Rumble Through the Jungle hosted by North Oldham High School on Saturday. His winning time of 15:54.54 for the 5000 Meter Run broke the previous course record. Luke, currently the #2 ranked runner in Class AAA defeated #1 ranked Patrick Gregory by three seconds.
High School Girls
Lindsey Hinken (St. Henry)
Hinken, a senior finished second at the Grant County Invitational with a new best time of 19:03.1. Her time bettered the previous course record but her teammate Ashley Svec surpassed her time by 8 seconds to set the new record. Her time of 19:03.1 was only her second time under the 20 flat mark and a 32 second improvement from two weeks ago.
Middle School Boys
Josh Hannon (St. Henry)
Hannon, an 8th grader won his 3rd race of the season with his victory in the Middle School race at the Grant County Invitational on Saturday. He ran a course record time of 10:53.1 for the 3000 Meter Run. He also won the Scott Middle School race on Wednesday of this past week as well.
Middle School Girls
Jensen Bales (Ryle)
Bales, an 8th grader at Ryle won the Scott Middle School Meet on Wednesday. She ran a 12:55.86 for the 3200m course to win by 50 seconds. This past Saturday at Grant County she ran a new personal best time of 20:01 for 5000 meters.
