This Week's Nominees:
Ethan Mann, Conner (Kentucky): A 16:25.98 clocking over 5K carried the win at the Ryle Invite, beating the runner-up by 13.7 seconds in a field of 145 finishers. The junior's time ranks No. 11 of 944 athletes in MileSplit's database at Ryle since 2020.
Elijah King, McCreary Central (Kentucky): Crossing first among 33 finishers at Oneida Park Meet 1, the 5K effort stopped the clock at 20:04.00, good for a 14.0-second margin at the line. That performance sits at No. 28 of 194 athletes in MileSplit's database at Oneida City Park since 2019.
William Morlen, Madison Central (Kentucky): The senior separated from a 117-runner field at the Southern Harrier Classic, covering the 5K in 16:53.82 to win by 15.9 seconds. It was a clean, decisive finish at the front of one of the week's deeper fields.
Wyatt Ritchie, Bourbon County (Kentucky): A 5K in 18:21.39 at the Berea Community Invitational was more than enough for the win, as the sophomore crossed first among 29 finishers. The margin of victory, 59.9 seconds, told the story of a race that was decided well before the final stretch.
