Josiah Taylor dropped a personal best US #5 48.12 at the UK High School Invite earlier this indoor season.
As we embark on the outdoor track and field season, we are going to break down all 14 individual events for the boys and girls across the state. Not only will you find the overall rankings, but also who leads each of the three classifications (A, AA, & AAA) but also who are the top athletes in each graduating class (2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022). Can you believe it? Outdoor season is coming soon!
The 400m dash is a race that brings out the best of the both the sprinters and distance runners. We have seen some of the greats on both ends of the spectrum try their hand at this distance with great success. The returning boys looks to be dominated by the sprinters. Led by Michael Warner of Male and William Wharton of Lafayette, we bring back 7 gentlemen who broke 50 seconds in 2018. Likely the most consistent of the bunch was Josiah Taylor of Marion C. Moore, who has vaulted to #5 nationally this indoor season. Who will reign supreme in 2019?
