Last indoor season, Hudson took home the Wildcat Classic title.
As we embark on the outdoor track and field season, we are going to break down all 14 individual events for the boys and girls across the state. Not only will you find the overall rankings, but also who leads each of the three classifications (A, AA, & AAA) but also who are the top athletes in each graduating class (2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022). Can you believe it? Outdoor season is coming soon!
The 2019 track and field season will see the end to one of the most decorated careers in Kentucky throwing history. Bryan Hudson has amassed three shot put state championships and a NATIONAL 5th place finish over his career. He would have had more had he not been preceded by Landon Young who, in his own right, was high on the list of top throwers in the history of the state. Enjoy this one while it lasts. Hudson will make a late season debut due to some lingering injury issues, but plans to be ready for regionals. He returns with a 14 foot lead on the next best throw after his state meet Class AAA record performance in 2018. The other two classes are much closer with Barrett Henley of Mayfield and Ryan Bryant of Ashland Blazer coming back as the top throwers in their classification.
