8. Keeton Thornsberry (Holy Cross (Louisville) - Junior)
Season Bests: 4:29.55 1600m @ Indiana Track Club Open on 2/10/2018
We have not seen much of Keeton this indoor season. This is most likely explained by his prominent role on the varsity basketball team at Holy Cross (see guys you can be multi-sport athletes and still be a state champ). Much of this placement is based on his outstanding cross country season where he did not finish outside of the top 10 in any meet in the state of Kentucky. Also, his double state championship at the 2017 outdoor class A track and field championships in the 1600m and 3200m. Oh and did we mention that he was the state runner up in the 800m in which he only lost by one second to Dedrick Troxell of Green County. Keeton was the KY XC Gatorade Athlete of the Year and could make a run at the honor for track and field if he puts together a state meet like he did in 2017.
