Two Louisville natives have advanced to the finals of their events at the NCAA D1 Indoor National Championship today in Arkansas. Former Butler great Tretez Kinnaird in the 800m and former Ballard great Ronnie Baker in the 60m Dash.
Kinnaird, the sophomore Big 10 800m Champion finished third in Heat 1 to automatically qualify. He ran a 1:48.57 which is the 2nd overall time in Indiana University history behind his own school record time. The final is tonight at 7:30 PM and can be watched live on ESPN3.
Baker, a junior was third in the second heat of the 60m Dash with a 6.57. His time was better than everyone in heat 1 giving him the top extra spot based on time in the final. The 60m Dash will be at 7:10 PM tonight.
