Jacob Thomson #3 in newest MileSplit US Top 25


Holy Cross senior Jacob Thomson moved up to #3 in the latest MileSplit US Top 25 this week after winning the Trinity Invitational.  His winning time of 14:52.64 currently is the fastest time in the nation.  He defeated #5 Jacob Burcham on Saturday in a head to head dual of nationally ranked runners. 

Bernie Montoya of Arizona is currently #1 after opening with a 14:53 for 3 Miles.  Edward Cheserek is #2 and is currently not racing to focus on taking the ACT.

    As a side note, I thought the note next to the #2 runner was interesting. Hasn't run yet, focusing on the ACT. Does that mean his ACT is too low to be recruited or is he trying to get over 30 to go to an Ivy league school?
