Is the Junior Class the greatest class in Kentucky history? That is tough to say exactly as there as been a whole lot of running over the last 100 years in Kentucky. But it is proof positive that at this point the junior class is the best over the last eight seasons of track KYtrackXC.com has covered. Let's look at the chart below as a starting point. The Class of 2014 blew away the rest of the previous sophomores years with ease on the boys and girls side.
Before this group the best boys group in my mind had always been the Ryan Eaton, Stacey Eden, Robbie Scharold, James Maglasang, and Jackson Carnes led group from 2010. After their sophomore year in 2008 it was clear they had depth as seen from the chart below which makes them close to the 2014 group, but they only had one under 4:26 that year (Ryan Eaton, Greenwood) while 2014 has four.
