It felt like a natural progression when duPont Manual added Alexandra Allen to their squad for them to be at the top of the podium at the KHSAA Class 3A Track and Field State Championships. What we did not expect was that they would almost double up second place with their 117 points to West Jessamine's 61 points. While Allen was the biggest point getter for the Crimsons (scoring 30 individual and a portion of the first place 4x400m relay), the team had contributions from a variety of sources. The team earned points in the:

  • 100m - 18 points (Alexandra Allen and Ruby Nwosu)
  • 200m - 18 points (Alexandra Allen and Ruby Nwosu)
  • 400m - 18 points (Alexandra Allen and Ruby Nwosu)
  • 1600m - 8 points (Jessica Secor)
  • 3200m - 8 points (Jessica Secor)
  • 400m Hurdles - 5 points (Asia Sloan)
  • Relays - 38 points
  • Long Jump - 4 points (Asia Sloan)

duPont Manual capped off their team championship with a thrilling win in the 4x400m relay to put a final stamp on the commanding victory.
