Girls 3A
In the girls' competition it will be just as close and once again between the Phantoms of Phoebus and Bruins of Blacksburg. Interestingly enough the strategies are flipped here with Phoebus relying heavily on individual talent and Blacksburg throwing all the depth into the distance races.
The star of the show one way or another is going to be Amira Aduma who is entered in the 55, 300, 500, and long jump. She is the favorite all of those titles but the 500 where she is seeded second behind Hodges of I.C. Norcom.
While we are talking about depth though it should be noted that Western Albemarle might have something to say about this team title as well with their superb versatility and depth. They will however have to have their best races of the year to sneak out of Salem with a team title.
