The 1st Annual Kentucky Dream Mile was held tonight at St. Xavier High School in Louisville. The night consisted of a boys and girls elite mile only. With an 8 O’clock start time, the temperature was still hovering around 80 degrees. The temperature was not as much concern as the possibly of rain and the strong winds. The rain held off but the wind was moving especially on the backstretch.

The purpose of this event is to bring together, on one night and at one venue, the most elite high school milers from throughout the state, under the most optimal of conditions, at a time of the season to produce times worthy of national recognition.
