Sprinter of the Week
Boys
Jerell Moore of Fern Creek ran career best times of 10.66 and 22.36 at the Greater Louisville Conference Championship Tuesday night at Fern Creek. His time of 10.66 is currently ranked #1 in Kentucky.
Girls
Anna Carrigan of Campbell County won the sprint trifecta at the North Hardin Invitational Saturday. She won the 100m Dash in 12.84, 200m Dash in 26.28, and 400m Dash in 58.72. She currently leads Kentucky in the 400m Dash.
Distance Runners of the Week
Boys
Class A Boys Distance Trio
Adam Kahleifeh (Bardstown), Jacob Thomson (Holy Cross), and James Maglasang (St. Mary) showed they could hang with the best of Class AAA as they all finished in the top 8 at the Kentucky Dream Mile. Each running best times by several seconds.
Girls
Elizabeth Anderson (duPont Manual) in only her second race of the outdoor season she won the Kentucky Dream Mile in a time of 5:01.28 which converts to a sub 5 minute 1600m. This time was her best overall in her career and it ranks her #3 in Kentucky.
Field Event Athlete of the Week
Boys
Zach Hill of Lincoln County hit a new best mark of 6-07 to win the EG Plummer Invitational. His jump ranks #2 overall in Kentucky and ties him for #1 in Class AAA.
Girls
Jackie Stevens of Bullitt East has already won this award once this season, but she out did herself this week. At the Larue County All-Comers last Tuesday she threw two new best marks in the Shot Put and Discus. Her throws of 42-01 and 120-10 both lead Kentucky.
