The Bourbon County Colonels would like to invite your teams to run in central Kentucky on a fast, new course located at our NEW location 1054 Millersburg Road. The local government recently purchased a new property with a major park in its plans. They have invited our team to develop a new course, which consists of rolling pastures. The developing facility boasts over 300 acres, which will provide a beautiful 1 loop course, and guarantees fans of being able to view the ENTIRE race. This location will offer increased parking and lots of room for following new guidelines.. We will offer elementary school ( in two divisions) (2k), middle school (3k), and JV (4K), and varsity (5k)
The Charge has become a very exciting race the past few years, bringing in individual state champions as well as teams, offering some of the best competition in the state. We have gone to great extents to provide an atmosphere of championship racing, partially consisting of challenging courses, logos painted, and a finish area like none other. We hope to grow that experience for you and your teams.
Awards will be given to the top two teams in each race category (except jv) and top finisher tshirtsto top twenty individuals in each race category. All awards for each team will be packaged and given to head coach once results finalized. Tshirt vouchers given at finish of each race
Cost for varsity races is $75for each team and $65 for each middle school and $55 elementary team. Individuals $20 High School/ $15Mid & $12 Ele. There is no charge for JV if you have a team in varsity and races.
Location is 1054 Millersburg Road Paris, Ky. 40361.Follow US 68 north of Paris, from bypass traveling north travel 7 miles to park entrance, signs will be posted. The park is located between the historic Bourbon Drive In and the Paris Stockyards. Please remember that this is a working farm and is protected under KRS 247.800 - 247.810. As for safety please remember that while on the farm you are responsible for your childs well being. No climbing or swimming is permited.
Please add our race to your teams calendar. Our race schedule will be updated closer to the race. We will have discounts if you bring teams in all divisions. Varsity will be limited to 10 runners per gender, any other runners can be put in open at no charge. We have capped max amount if you bring all categories to $300. Tent city is located beside start line and warm up area is beside tent city in adjacent field. Please keep our social distancing guidelines in mind while on proprerty
