The Bourbon County Colonels would like to invite your teams to run in central Kentucky on a fast, new course located at our NEW location 1054 Millersburg Road. The local government recently purchased a new property with a major park in its plans. They have invited our team to develop a new course, which consists of rolling pastures. The developing facility boasts over 300 acres, which will provide a beautiful 1 loop course, and guarantees fans of being able to view the ENTIRE race. This location will offer increased parking and lots of room for following new guidelines.. We will offer elementary school (2k), middle school (3k), and varsity/jv (5k) races, and a new open race for coaches , spectators, etc.
The Charge has become a very exciting race the past few years, bringing in individual state champions as well as teams, offering some of the best competition in the state. We have gone to great extents to provide an atmosphere of championship racing, partially consisting of challenging courses, logos painted, and a finish area like none other. We hope to grow that experience for you and your teams.
Awards will be given to the top two teams in each race category and medals to top ten individuals in each race category. All awards for each team will be packaged and given to head coach once results finalized.
Cost for varsity races is $50 for each team and $40 for each middle school and elementary team. Individuals $10 High School/ $7 Mid & Ele.
Location is 1054 Millersburg Road Paris, Ky. 40361.Follow US 68 north of Paris, from bypass traveling north travel 7 miles to park entrance, signs will be posted. The park is located between the historic Bourbon Drive In and the Paris Stockyards. Please remember that this is a working farm and is protected under KRS 247.800 - 247.810. As for safety please remember that while on the farm you are responsible for your childs well being. No climbing or swimming is permited.

Schedule. (Times and jv division may change based on new.KHSAA guidelines). The varsity races have been seated by the host school. The format consist of one runner from each lane/school will start at the first, the next wave from second row will step forward and at end of 1 minute gun goes off again and second wave takes off, one from each lane, row/wave C steps forward and takes off next minute. The middle school and elementary races will feature a wave start. Each team will start their entitre team from proper lane/row A. Then row B of teams step forward , after minute second wave(one runner from each lane will start). Assignment of lanes and rows to follow.

Concessions for the 2020 Charge has been eliminated. Your team will need to bring all supplies needed.
