Meet Information
Dear Coaches:
You are cordially invited to compete in the St. Mary High School "St. Mary Invitational Cross Country Meet." Teams from Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, and Tennessee are invited. The meet is open to teams, individuals, and unattached runners. Unlimited number of runners per team may be registered.
Date: Saturday, September 17, 2022 (8:00 AM CDT)
Location: BOB NOBLE PARK, 2915 Park Avenue, Paducah, KY. A flat, fast course run mostly on grass with some short blacktop road crossings. Use the Park Avenue entrance by the baseball fields to enter and exit the park before, during, and after the event. Buses will be allowed to unload teams and equipment at the tennis courts near the start/finish area and will be directed through the park to a parking area by St. Mary volunteer staff. All other park gates will be closed for the duration of the meet. There will be no parking available at the Bob Cherry Civic Center.
Times:
(Please Note: Times are approximate. A rolling schedule will be used after the completion of the first race)
7:30 AM: Coaches Meeting (at starting line)
8:00 AM: Elementary School Girls & Boys Mixed 1-Mile Race
8:30 AM: High School Girls 5K Race (2-loop course)
9:00 AM: High School Boys 5K Race (2-loop course)
9:30 AM: Middle School Girls 4K Race (Modified 2-loop course)
10:00 AM: Middle School Boys 4K Race (Modified 2-loop course).
10:30 AM: Awards ceremony will be held adjacent to the finish line after completion of the last race and tabulation of results.

Timing: Races will be scored using Hy-Tek with a manual backup timing system.
Scoring: For a team to count in the scoring, they must have at least 5 runners finish. The 6th and 7th runners will be counted as pushers. A 6th runner will be used as a tiebreaker. In case of a tie, the team with the best 6th place finisher shall prevail. KHSAA tie-breaking rules will be used. Individual and team results will be available to all coaches.
KHSAA: All athletes and coaches shall follow the rules set forth by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA).
Entries: There will be unlimited entries in all races. Each Varsity team may enter 10 runners as the designated official team but they must be declared before the race. All extra runners will be officially timed and will be eligible to earn awards but will not be scored as a second team or scored for the first team. PLEASE declare on your entries the grades of your runners (necessary for records purposes) and whether they are competing in Elementary School, Middle School, or High School events.
Elementary Runners (Grades K-5)

High School Teams (Grades 7-12)
Entry Fees:
High School: $60 for Girls, $60 for boys, $10 for individual runners
Middle School: $50 for Girls, $50 for boys, $8 for individual runners
Elementary: $2 per individual, maximum of $50 per school

*Spectator admission and parking are free. 2022 short-sleeve meet t-shirts for sale. Concessions will be available.
