McCracken County H.S. is excited to be hosting the 2018 West Region High School Invitational in cooperation with the KTCCCA, Adam Kiesler of Murray State Track & Field, and the coaches of Marshall Co. HS, Murray High & Calloway County. The meet will once again be held at the CFSB Center located on the campus of Murray State University!

FACILITY: The CFSB Center is located on the North side of Murray State Universitys Campus behind Roy Stewart Football Stadium (Directions Below). All Running Events will be contested on the 4 lane 230m rubberized track located on the upper concourse of the CFSB. The High Jump & Shot Put will be contested on the upper level basketball courts. Equipment: NO SPIKES ALLOWED Running Shoes or Racing Flats Only! Blocks will be provided for use in 55m Dash & 55m Hurdles only. Common Soft Shell Indoor Shot Puts will be provided for use by all throwers.
OFFICIALS & RULES: This is a KHSAA sanctioned event for Schools Only and will have certified officials present for any rulings or appeals. A Jury of Appeals will be named for reviewing appealed decisions. Warm-ups: A judge or track official MUST be present for practice throws or run-throughs in field events. One (1) warning will be issued for non-compliance. A second warning will result in disqualification from the event.Coaching: Coaches and fans are prohibited from being in the running/competition area once the meet starts. All coaching must be conducted from the stands or spectator areas unless the coach is officiating or are asked to come onto the competition area by an official or meet director.
MEET FORMAT: Each athlete may compete in a maximum of four (4) events. A school may enter up to three (3) contestants in each individual event and one (1) team in each relay event. The 3000m will be Limited to the Top 20 Seeded Runners (times verified by MileSplit database), those who DO NOT Make the Cut will be allowed to transfer their entry into another event if they wish. A Lap Counter must be provided by each team who enters participants in the 3000m Run. 55m Hurdles & 55m Dash will have Prelims/Finals, all other events will be finals and scored as heats against time. High Jump will start at 38 for Girls and 48 for Boys. Shot putters will get four (4) attempts.Schedule: Girls races will be run first followed by Boys. The meet will follow a rolling schedule. ALL runners in ALL races will need to report to the marshalling area by Second Call of their event. Athletes must check-in and check-out with field event judges when leaving a contest in progress to compete in a running event.

SCORING:Scoring for the meet will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 and will be done using Hytek Meet Manager Software. Finish Lynx Fully Automatic Timing will be used and Eagle Eye and Ultrak L10 will be used as Backup.
AWARDS: Medals will be Awarded to 1st-3rd Place finishers in each Scholastic Event.
PARKING: All Buses and Cars will need to park at the Football Stadium parking lot and use Concourse Level Entrance B of the CFSB Center.
ADMISSION: Admission to the event will be $5.00 for spectators. Concessions will be available on site.

DIRECTIONS: From the Northeast via the Bluegrass Pkwy: Take the Bluegrass to the Western Kentucky Parkway. Continue west to I-24 and proceed west to the Purchase Parkway (Exit 25A) approximately 15 miles. Exit onto Hwy. 641 (sign marked "Murray State University" - Exit 41) and drive south to Murray. Turn right at the intersection of Hwy. 641 and Hwy. 121 (second stoplight into Murray). The CFSB Center will be on your left, just behind Roy Stewart Stadium.
From the East or West via Hwy. 68/80: From I-24 take the exit for Cadiz/Hopkinsville (Exit 65) and proceed west approximately 25 miles. After crossing Kentucky Lake bridge continue on Hwy. 68/80 for approx. 15 miles to Murray. Turn left at the intersection of 68/80 and Hwy. 641. Turn right at the third stoplight (intersection of 641 and 121). The CFSB Center will be on your left, behind Roy Stewart Stadium.
From the East or West via I-24: Take the exit for the Purchase Parkway (Exit 25A) and proceed south approximately 15 miles. Exit onto Hwy. 641 (sign marked "Murray State University" - Exit 41) and drive south to Murray. Turn right onto Hwy. 121 (third stoplight). The CFSB Center is located just behind Roy Stewart Stadium to your left.
From the East or West via I-40: Take I-40 to Hwy. 641 and proceed north to Murray. Continue to the intersection of Hwy. 641 and Hwy. 121. Turn left onto Hwy. 121. The CFSB Center will be on your left behind Roy Stewart Stadium.
From Southeast Missouri: From I-57 take the Charleston/Wyatt exit and proceed east on Hwy. 60/62. In Wickliffe, KY, take Hwy. 121 which will take you through Mayfield, KY. Proceed approximately 20 miles to Murray. The CFSB Center will be located on your right.
