Packet Pickup
Coaches may pick up their packets when they arrive to the course tomorrow afternoon in the scoring shelter, along with your singlet for your number one runner. Be sure to bring your entry fee check if you have not mailed it yet. Sportsmanship forms will need to be singed when you pick up your packet.
Starting Boxes
Due to the large amount of teams (24 in the boys race, 22 in the girls race), we will be using both sides of the starting line (to the right and left of the finish line area) and alternating Kentucky and Indiana teams. Number one runners will have their boxes beside each other in the center of the starting line. Lane assignments will be written on the outside of your team packet, and if you have not printed them yet, competition numbers will be inside your packets.
Competition Numbers
Competition numbers will be placed both hands of each athletes, facing downward, so that our finish line workers can read them. Double check your numbers before your athletes report to the starting line. Remind your athletes to keep moving all the way thru the chute. Water will be avaliable at the end of the chute.
Athletic Trainer
An athletic trainer from Owensboro Sports Medicine and Orthopedics (OSMO) will be on site. She will be located in the back half of the shelter. Please have athletes enter through the end door and not the primary door of the shelter where the Hytek section will be located.
Course Preview
Any teams wishing to preview the course today may do so from 3:30pm-5:30pm CST. A coach must be present to supervise any athletes that are at the course. If athletes are present without a coach, they will be asked to leave and officials from the representative school will be notified.
Bus/Spectator Parking
Bus Parking will be located at the gravel parking lot across the road from the course next to the lake and athletes are to walk from the lot to the course area. Spectators may park in any of the lots they wish to. As done previously for meets at Yellow Creek, spectators may park in the grass along the road next to the course, as long as it does not interfere with the Team Area. There will be no admission fee for non-team vehicles.
Vending
Squares of Time will be our vender for apparel. Concessions will also be sold on-site.
Team Area
Tents may be set up in the grass area surrounding the shelter/gazebo area. We are asking that no tents be set up behind the finish line area.
