-- Collin Merkel (College View) bested the Owensboro area runners again with a win at the Raider Twilight Run in Bowling Green. He also won last week at the Daviess County 6K Relay.
-- Merkel's College View squad wins at the Raider Twilight, most noteworthy about this group is that they have five 7th graders in their top seven. Can 2013 be their year at state, if not this year?
-- Daviess County Middle School flipped their #1's this week with Austin Cavender leading way in 2nd place with Jackson Morris in 4th. Morris was #1 for them last week.
-- Last week at Tiger Run Logan Otter (North Oldham) was the top runner in the Louisville area, but this week he was covered up by two sheets.... that is Nathan and Michael Sheets . Nathan wins this week after his brother Michael and Otter beat him last week. Just goes to further show how wide open the middle school boys state race is.
