This Week's Nominees:
Alexis Howard, Simon Kenton (Kentucky): Turned in a dominant multi-event performance at the Tates Creek Commodore Classic, posting state-leading marks in both the triple jump (40-5) and long jump (17-11). Also swept the sprints with wins in the 100 (12.20) and 200 (25.71).
Ari Carter, Dixie Heights (Kentucky): Won the discus at the Campbell County Camel Classic with a throw of 132-3, making her the #1 junior in the state in the event. Also claimed victory in the shot put with a 33-0 effort at the Dixie Quad #2.
Aaron Eckler, Ryle (Kentucky): Clocked 10:42.34 in the 3200 at the Anderson Invitational, placing 4th in a deep field of 60 runners while establishing himself as the #1 sophomore in Kentucky in the event.
Faith Evans, Bowling Green (Kentucky): Broke 25 seconds in the 200 for the first time this season, winning at the Harry Greschel Invitational in 24.99 as the #2 sophomore in the state.
O'Naya Harris, Frederick Douglass (Kentucky): Posted impressive sprint doubles at the Henry Clay All-Comers meet, winning the 400 in 57.19 and the 100 in 12.72. She leads all Kentucky sophomores in both events.
