Senior Send-off: Holy Cross's Jeremy Glass

Jeremy Glass ended his career with a bang throwing a personal best of 55-04.50 to win the Class A State Shot Put title in May.

What was your most memorable meet?

My most memorable meet was definitely the 2012 state meet because I came in to the meet and did way better than people expected me to do.

Where did you face your biggest competition?

I faced the most competition when I went to the UK and IU indoor meets. Langston Newton was the best thrower I saw all year. Also whenever I saw Jordan White he was also pretty good.

Out of all of your high school accomplishments which stands out the most?

Out of all my accomplishments in high school winning state in shot put was the thing that stood out the most because not only was it the farthest throw in 1A, it was the farthest throw out of 2A and 3A. That was a great accomplishment for me.

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your career in high school?

If there was something that I could go back and change in my throwing career it would be to take discus more serious my freshman through junior years.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

The biggest obstacle that I had to overcome this year was coming back after spring break, not throwing for a week, and not throwing as good as I was before spring break.

What will you miss the most?

What I'm going to miss the most is not throwing in college because I really got a lot more into throwing my senior year.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?

If I had advice to give to younger athletes it would be to never give up and follow your dreams.

What are your college plans?

My college plans are to attend Notre Dame College in Ohio, play football and get a education.
