Thor Newsome (Rineyville Elementary) earned All-American honors with his 12th place finish at the USATF Junior Cross Country Championships in the Sub-Bantam division. He ran a 7:56 for the 2000 Meter course. His sister, Anastasia was 58th overall in the Bantam division with a 12:20 for 3000 Meters.
