Boys Preview
This region has long been dominated by St. Mary and the trend will continue this year as well. The Vikings were ranked #2 in the last set of KYtrackXC.com Class A State Team Rankings and will dominate the competition in two weeks.
Individual Favorite: Nathan Ellis (St. Mary)
Ellis, a senior, has been one of the best runners in the region since his freshmen year and will look to take home his first region title. He has a best of 17:24 this fall and has consistently been the #1 runner for the St. Mary squad. This race will not be, shall we say a walk in the park though as his teammates Paul West and Daniel Deneve along with Heath’s Zach Hudspeth and Fort Campbell’s Levi Gibson should press him and stay within reach.
