Former St. Xavier runner Matt Hillenbrand and Bardstown runner Adam Kahleifeh both coming off their freshmen years at the University of Kentucky will be running in the USATF Junior Outdoor National Championship this week. They will both be competing in the 1500m Run which starts off at 10:45 Thursday in Eugene, Oregon at the Hayward Field.
Each of the former All-State Kentucky athletes prepped for the USATF race last week at the American Miler’s Club Series in Indianapolis. Hillenbrand ran a best time of 1:50.83, while Kahleifeh ran a 1:53.65.
