Brink has competed once this season, opening with a win at the Tiger Run with a time of 18:24 and is currently ranked #1 in Class AAA in the latest KYtrackXC.com State Rankings.  When asked tonight about why she chose UNC, Brink said “I chose UNC because I believe that it is a perfect combination of an outstanding coaching staff (especially Coach Watson), strong team atmosphere, and outside of running, UNC offers great academics! I also liked the climate in North Carolina where it provides good conditions for running outside all year round.

Emma will look to defend her title at the Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational this Saturday in which she won last year with a 17:57.
