Lafayette's Xavier Richardson and Cooper's Paul Van Laningham both have qualified for Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Oregon on December 6th. The duo finished back to back at NXN Southeast this past Saturday in North Carolina. Richardson crossed the line in 2nd with a 14:50 followed by Van Laningham two seconds later at 14:52. Congrats to both of them!! Overall Kentucky had four runners in the top 15 with Joe Mayer (Covington Catholic) and Nick Sanders (St. Xavier) finishing 14th and 15th.
Trinity was the top team finishing 4th, running as Shamrock TC. Lafayette was 6th overall running as Redwood TC.
Assumption was the top girls team running as Derby City TC. They finished 13th overall led by Mabell George's 13th place finish with a 17:30. Bailee Montgomery (duPont Manual) was the second KY girl to pass the line in 34th place overall with a 18:19.
