KY Girls Performance of the Week (4/21-4/27)

After a storm rained out most of the meets last week, Kentucky hosted a ton of track meets this weekend. In those meets, we saw some incredible performances including some from out of the state. Without further delay, here are the candidates for performer of the week.

Caroline Beiting, Lexington Catholic

Beiting ran 2:11.64 on Saturday at the Tates Creek Commodore Classic. This is the third fastest time in Kentucky this season (she has the fastest). Beiting will compete Saturday at the Kentucky Dream Mile where she is the favorite along with Addison Moore.

Nia Scipio, Logan County

This is Scipio's first appearance on a Performer of the Week this season. At the Great Gator Invitational, she took two victories. One of those was in the Long Jump where she jumped 17-7.5. The other was in the triple jump where she lept 36-0. Definitely someone to continue watching as we make our way to the State Championship.

Olivia Holbrook. Campbell County

Holbrook shined at the Campbell County Camel Classic where she took two victories in the 800m and 1600m. She ran 2:18.33 over the 800m and 4:57.82 in the 1600m. She will compete again at the Kentucky Dream Mile on Saturday.
