With the regular season over, it is a good place to look at how the individual classes stand before the post season begins. This article is going to highlight the top individuals in each Class as well as the top teams. Without further adieu, here is the Class 1A preview.
On the girls side of things, the race looks to be between two household names in Beechwood and Lexington Christian. These two teams have been battling all season. They have raced on the same course only once this year, albeit in separate races with Lexington Christian's average being 20:08 and Beechwood's average being 19:56. Now, this is largely due to Beechwood's front runner, Lily Parke. The Sophomore is the top individual in Class 1A this season and needs to be at the State meet for Beechwood to have a chance. Lexington Christian is led by 8th grader Kenne Moughamian who is seeded 4th. They have two girls right behind her as well placing 3 in the Top 6.
