LEIGH ALLIN BREAKS KENTUCKY STATE POLE VAULT RECORD

Leigh Allin of Henry Clay broke the overall Kentucky State Record in the Pole Vault with a vault of 11-08 at the 2009 Kentucky State Track Meet.  Coming into the meet it was clear she could take down the 11-07 record as she cleared 11-10 at the Fayette County Championship on May 7^th.  With the win already in the bag she went after the record and beat it by an inch.

ANDREW LEWIS BLAZES ON THE TRACK RUNNING KY #1 21.78 IN THE 200

Andrew Lewis of Johnson Central rolled through the Class AA sprints at the 2009 Kentucky State Track Meet with victories in the 100m and 200m Dashes.  His winning time of 21.78 in the 200m was the overall fastest time in the state for the 2009 season.  Taking into account his 100m time of 10.97 he also ran the best 100/200 time combo regardless of class at the championships.
