Ciara O'Shea came into her junior season as one of the most decorated high school distance runners in Kentucky history. Her cross country season ended in a state championship and an appearance in the Eastbay Cross Country Championships. The indoor season was more of the same with a 1500m and 3000m state championship.
Looking forward to the upcoming outdoor state championship, O'Shea has qualified for the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m after winning all three events at the Class 3A Region 7 championships.
Right before those regional championships, Mike Garcia caught up with Ciara to talk about her training, motivation, and accomplishments since embarking on this running journey in sixth grade.
