The Kentucky Dream Mile is always an absolutely stacked field with the best milers in the state of Kentucky. Coming into the 2022 edition, Ciara O'Shea dominated the distance scene as she has done for the last three years. The evening was cool after a rainy day and opened up for perfect running conditions. It was the sophomore from Oldham County, Tula Fawbush that seized the moment and out kicked O'Shea in the final stretch to win by 0.10 with a 4:49.80 to Ciara's 4:49.90. That time is the best time EVER run by a female in the state of Kentucky, besting Emma Brink's 2011 time of 4:52.51.
