What was your most memorable meet and why?

My most memorable meet was a meet called the Cherokee Invitational in Tennessee. It is the most memorable because there I broke new ground for a school record as well as a personal best time of 19:27.

Where did you face your biggest competition?

I faced some of my biggest competition at the 2017 state meet. Here I felt I was being pushed by some of the best which helped to push me more.

Out of all of your high school accomplishments which stands out the most and why?

Out of all my high school achievements attaining my new PR is one of the best. It stands out from rest because it allowed me to break through any boundaries I had set on myself! It seemed impossible for me to ever break 19:30 but when I did it is just an eye opener of what more I can do! Another great part of this achievement is that now I can see where all my hard work has gone to because it currently stands as the school record.

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?

If I could reset my running career and do it all over again I would have begun to push myself starting my freshman year. If I would have pushed harder my freshman year I probably would have been able to achieve more of my personal goals!

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

Some of the most difficult obstacles I learned to overcome was the negative mindset I had set for myself. It had held me back and kept me from achieving my goals. Once I overcame it I was able make new history for myself!

What will you miss the most?

One thing I will miss the most about my cross country career is the people that I have run with all this time! I have watched them grow as runners and individuals, and they have taught me some of the best ways to lead a group of people!

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?

The advice I give to you get runners is to never allow your mind to set limits on you! If you can think it you can do it! Your mind shouldn't stop you f it is always what your thinking about! Another piece of advice I offer is to understand the importance of taking care of your body!! The impact of foam rolling, icing, and stretching is huge if you stay consistent!

What are your post-highschool or college plans?

My post high school plans are to run for and attend a four year university or college pursuing an equine science/ rehabilitation degree. After that I intend to work for corporations in the equine business practicing rehab techniques.

Who would you like to say thank you to?

I would have to say thank you to all my coaches, my mom and dad, as well as my sister an her teammates! My coaches have allowed me to push through obstacles I never thought I could achieve! My mom and dad offering endless support! And my sister and her teammates who always push me even when they know how bad it hurts!!
