MileStat.com is looking for passionate and hard working individuals to help enhance our coverage statewide.
MileStat and its success has been based on serving the State of Virginia and its stakeholders. To do this and to remain the best source for everything track, field, and cross country MileStat works around the clock to provide the highest level of holistic coverage. Though we already are the #1 source of T&F and XC coverage in the state, we are looking to expand that even further.
To expand our coverage we want create even more value for those who subscribe including more photo coverage at more meets, more video coverage, more athlete interviews, and multiple camera angle-video coverage. We are also looking for free lance writers and stataticians to enhance other aspects of the site to not only produce more fresh content but to create higher quality pieces.

Photographers:
We are always on the search for more photographers in all regions of the state. The ideal people we are looking for are people with professional camera equipment, ability to shoot high quantity at meets, and an ability to upload these photos within 24 hours of the meet being completed. This can entail alot of work but also is very rewarding and pretty fun taking pictures at many great meets. Many parents of current and former athletes are currently on staff and are great photographers who are willing to travel. We also have had many student photographers who have done a great job as well. Photographers are compensated.
Videographers:
MileStat is always looking to expand this area of our coverage. We are looking for dedicated and reliable individuals who want to gain experience in video coverage, interviewing, and video editing. If you are interested in anything related to film, journalism, or sports information then this is a position for you. Working with MileStat in this area allows you many freedoms and room for creative expansion, we always love new ideas for video coverage! Videographers are compensated.
Freelance Writers:
Do you need to get published? Do you have a cool story idea or want to try out professional writing? If you answered yes to those questions or are interested in this position then you should definitely apply. This is how I got my start in this industry five years ago. It is a great way to enter the industry and get name recognition immediately. All levels of experience and individuals from all regions are welcome to send material. Being a freelance writer is also something you can do when you have time, we understand and do not expect you to write stories every week but the more quality coverage the better. Writers are compensated.
Stataticians:
Our site has a strong foundation in stats and results and we want to expand that foundation even further. We are looking for individuals who want to create all time lists, create statistics for facilities and much more. Having this type of information will provide unique insights into many aspects of the sport that few people know or think about.
Internship:
This position we are looking for an individual who is driven and passionate about track and field/XC. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the sport and be interested in this line of work. This internship will entail all aspects of site management and coverage. It is time consuming task but also very rewarding and will make you standout when applying for more internships, colleges, and full-time positions. This position is open to high schoolers, college students, grad students, and recent grads.
