Kentucky Invitational 2011

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville track and field teams resume action with their second meet of the season at the Kentucky Track and Field Invitational in Lexington. The event, which takes place at Nutter Field House begins on Friday, Jan. 14, at 6 p.m., and continues on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

The Michigan State track & field team will open up its 2011 indoor season this weekend when it travels to the Kentucky Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 14-15, in Lexington, Ky. Competition will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The Kentucky Invitational begins Friday in Lexington, Kentucky. Competition for the Catamounts begins Friday at 6:00p.m. at Nutter Field House on the campus of the University of Kentucky. The meet will feature four schools out of the Southeastern Conference, highlighted by the fourth-ranked women of Tennessee, and several schools from the state of Kentucky, among others.

Four members of the UCF track & field team started their season Friday night at the Kentucky Invitational. The first day of the two-day event saw the Knights compete in the pole vault and weight throw competitions.

The Michigan State track & field team opened its 2011 indoor season on Friday, Jan. 14 at the Kentucky Invitational in Lexington, Ky. Kicking the season off on a positive note where the men's weight throwers who placed second through fifth, finishing as the top collegiate throwers in competition.

The men's and women's track and field teams completed the Kentucky Invitational in Lexington, Ky. Saturday evening. The Catamounts were led by Top-5 finishes from senior Jane't Carothers in the 400m dash and sophomore Cordell Livingston in the 60m hurdle event. Carothers placed fourth with a time of 55.29. Livingston finished third with a time of 7.99. Both times were season bests for the student-athletes. All-in-all, Western finished with 12 top-10 at Nutter Fieldhouse on the University of Kentucky's campus.

Behind many season best times, the Georgia Tech men's and women's indoor track and field teams rounded out a successful weekend at the Kentucky Invitational, Saturday. The Jackets earned 12 top-10 finishes against some tough competition.

 The Kentucky Indoor Track season got into full swing on Saturday with athletes competing in three high school meets.

Sophomore Vanessa Jules finished sixth in the high jump with a height of 5-07.25 feet (1.71m) which is two inches shy of her school record.
