University of Louisville women's track and field's Michelle Theophille was named the BIG EAST Female Field Athlete of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday.

The University of Louisville track and field teams completed the Kentucky Invitational on Saturday evening at E.J. Nutter Field House in Lexington, as eight additional Cardinals punched their tickets to the BIG EAST Indoor Championships with league qualifying marks.

After two days of competition, the Georgia Tech men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up their time at the Kentucky Invitational held at the Nutter Field House on the campus of the University of Kentucky.

The University of Kentucky closed out competition Saturday in the Kentucky Invitational, the opening meet of the season. Held at the E.J. Nutter Field House, the Wildcats placed in the top three in six events Saturday and saw many positive results and a strong foundation for the remainder of the indoor season.

The University of Kentucky men's and women's track and field teams kicked off their 2012 indoor seasons Friday night at the E.J. Nutter Field House with the opening day of the Kentucky Invitational.
