DUE TO CONSTRUCTION WE WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT COURSE THIS YEAR. ONCE THAT IS FINALIZED, A MAP WILL BE PROVIDED HERE, AND WE WILL HAVE MAPS AT CHECK-IN, BUT YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO ARRIVE EARLY ENOUGH TO WALK THE COURSE.
Elementary division is open to runners in 1st-5th grade.
Cars will use the student parking lot behind the school.
Tent City will be marked. This new course provides much more access to viewing, including along the finish line, but please advise parents to refrain from crossing the course in front of athletes and leaning across ropes..
T-Shirts and Concessions will be available for sale, along with Kona Ice, a coffee truck and Outer Limits Nutrition
Admission:
There will be a $5 CASH or VENMO fee per car, please try and have correct change. Coaches, please make sure that your parents know this information ahead of time to help the flow of traffic.THE FRONT DRIVEWAY ON HIGHWAY 41/HANSON ROAD WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC - PLEASE USE THE BACK ENTRANCE ON BROWN BADGETT LOOP

MS and Elementary awards following the end of the last race.
*Rolling start will be used to minimize heat related injuries. If a runner cannot finish the race before time to start the next, they will be pulled from the course to keep us on schedule. (40 minutes for H/S, 30 minutes for M/S, Elementary
**Elementary races may be combined to avoid any issues with heat, as long as the fields are not too large to combine.

Entry Fees:
Make/Mail checks to Maroons Cross Country Boosters, 2243 Lenin Road, Madisonville, KY, 42431
If mailing a check, please mail it so that it arrives BEFORE Thursday, 8/27.
Entry fees will be accepted on race day, BUT, we will not accept "the check is in the mail" - no payment, no racing!
Varsity 5k- $65 per team (boys/girls). $12.00 per individual if under 5 athletes.
Middle School- $55 per team (boys/girls) $10.00 per individual if under 5 athletes.
Elementary- $45 per team (boys/girls) $8.00 per individual if under 5 athletes.
Entries must be submitted by August 26th at 6:00pm.(Entry limit set at 450 runners, which we have surpassed in prior years - register early!)
Scoring:
Timing provided by Mid South Race Timing.
Scores will be calculated by taking the scores of the top 5 runners, with number 6 being used for tie-breakers. Teams may enter as many runners in each race, but only the top 7 will count.
Awards:
All races - Trophies to the top 2 teams. Trophies to first place runners. Medals to top 10 individuals.
Buses: Buses may drop off in the student parking lot, then will be directed where to park on Campus
Other Info:
A certified athletic trainer will be on site before, during, and after the meet. He will be located behind the finish line, we will have an ice bath set up.
NO PETS, per KHSAA rules.
