The race will be held on our normal course. The starting line will be on the practice soccer field, to the left when you enter the school grounds. Varsity will run 2 laps and finish on the soccer field at the bottom. Middle School AND Elementary will run one lap (2.5K) and finish on the soccer field at the bottom as well. This is a change for elementary from years past. Since it is less than a 3K, we want to make sure that elementary runners are more prepared for 3K's they will be expected throughout the season.
Cars will use also the student parking lot behind the school.
Tent City will be marked, and will be in the same spot as years past along the starting field.
T-Shirts and Concessions will be available for sale, along with Kona Ice.
Admission:
There will be a $5 CASH ONLY fee per car, not individual spectator, please try and have correct change. Coaches, please make sure that your parents know this information ahead of time to help the flow of traffic. Athletes will cross our drive at one point, which will pause traffic until they clear the crossing.

8:15am Girls High School 5K
8:50am Boys High School 5K
9:25am Girls Middle School 2.5K
9:55am Boys Middle School 2.5K
10:25am Boys & Girls Elementary 2.5K**
Team awards following the end of the last race.
*Rolling start will be used to minimize heat related injuries. If a runner cannot finish the race before time to start the other, they will be pulled from the course to keep us on schedule. (35 minutes for H/S, 30 minutes for M/S, Elemetary
**Elementary races may be combined to avoid any issues with heat, as long as the fields are not too large to combine.
Entry Fees:
Make/Mail checks to MNHHS (address above), attn: MNHHS XC. Entry fees will also be accepted on race day.
Varsity 5k- $65 per team (boys/girls). $12.00 per individual if under 5 athletes.
Middle School- $45 per team (boys/girls) $10.00 per individual if under 5 athletes.
Elementary- $35 per team (boys/girls) $8.00 per individual if under 5 athletes.
Have entries submitted by August 20th at 7:00pm.
Scoring:
Timing provided by Mid South Race Timing. Scores will be calculated by taking the scores of the top 5 runners, with number 6 being used for tie-breakers. Teams may enter as many runners in each race, but only the top 7 will count.

Awards:
All races - Trophies to the top 2 teams. Trophies to top runner and coupon for free t-shirt. Medals to top 10 individuals.
Buses: Buses may use the staff parking lot to drop runners off, then will be directed where to park on Campus, if overflow is needed, they will then park at Madisonville First Assembly of God church, 3406 Hanson Rd
Other Info:
A certified athletic trainer will be on site before, during, and after the meet. He will be located behind the finish line, we will have an ice bath set up.
NO PETS, per KHSAA rules.
