Kentucky Dream Mile

Location - St. Xavier High School Track

Admission - Free for all spectators and participants! Come cheer on the top 16 male and female milers in KY!

Meet Fee - No meet entry fee or admission fee.  Completely Free!

Qualifiers - All participants must be in grades 9-12 and run for their respective High School.

Information about qualifiers is sent out on the KY Coaches LISTSERV. Standings are updated weekly. The qualifying list was final on April 26th, 2026. No changes will be made after that date.

Race distance will be the full mile.

Schedule of Events (roughly):

6:30 PM - Track will open for warmups

8:00 PM - Introduction of Girls Kentucky Dream Mile participants

8:10 PM - Running of the 16th Girls Kentucky Dream Mile

8:20 PM - Introduction of Boys Kentucky Dream Mile participants

8:30 PM - Running of the 16th Boys Kentucky Dream Mile

8:40 PM - Girls Kentucky Dream Mile Awards Presentation

8:50 PM - Boys Kentucky Dream Mile Awards Presentation

Infield - The infield will be restricted to Athletes & Coaches only.  Spectators will have additional access to the track this year, to get closer to the athletes, but spectators will not be allowed on the infield.  We hope this accommodation makes it an enjoyable experience for all!
